Since 2016, Burnette and Stacy have been neighborhood friends through their church.
During the pandemic, Burnette and Stacy went for social distanced walks often. Burnette helped Stacy to get a cell phone, and taught her how to text and surf the web.

May 5th, 2024 was Alvena’s 8th time celebrating her birthday with Alexa and their friends!
This year, they went to see a Broadway show, & Juliet, followed by dinner at Brooklyn Diner.

Do For One exists in direct response to the concerns of aging parents who share concerns like, “I am so used to paying people to spend time with my son. If I couldn’t pay them, I worry that he really wouldn’t have anyone on his side apart from me.”
Devon, a Partner, says, “Friendship is a priceless gift from God. It cannot be bought or sold. But it’s far better than gold.”
PRAY for Do For One Partners who have a hard time meeting with others due to depression, anxiety, or health related issues. Pray that God will lift away barriers that keep Partners further isolated, and pray for a blessing over our Advocates as they strive to meet with their Partners in meaningful ways.
