bEfriend
Do For One and 99 Balloons Staff
bEfriend was birthed by the many conversations had between Matt Mooney of 99 Balloons and Andrew Oliver of Do For One staring back in 2017.
Do For One’s recent collaboration with beFriend has been instrumental in supporting their shift toward one-to-one pairings in their many community sites across Northwest Arkansas and Texas. Through consulting calls, in-person and filmed training sessions, and cohort-based learning opportunities, Do For One provides tailored guidance on pairing advocates and friends, fostering freely-given relationships, and overcoming common challenges that confront relationship-building initiatives.
Two-Fives
Lead For One 2024 Cohort with Two-Fives Staff
Two-Fives, supported by the LEL Family Foundation in Indianapolis, is a budding initiative which officially launched in 2024 and is rooted in the principles of Do For One. This program focuses on creating one-to-one matches between individuals with disabilities and volunteer advocates, fostering freely-given relationships that build community and address social isolation. With foundational guidance from Do For One, the initiative has established a core leadership team and launched training and consultation sessions to help them get started.
Key figures like Jeanne and Camille play vital roles in matchmaking, while others contribute through vision-casting, networking, and recruitment efforts. By focusing on intentional, gradual growth and strategic planning, Two-Fives is setting a foundation for enduring relationships and vibrant community inclusion in Indianapolis.
