One Night & 365 Days
Our beloved community had its 7th Annual Christmas Party last weekend!
As we pore over the pictures of the night (see some below), we are in awe that every photo represents genuine relationships between people with and without disabilities.
Our one big celebration of the year is just that; one night where we celebrate what happens 365 days a year in living rooms, over weekly phone calls, birthday celebrations, Sunday worship services, and even trips out of state.
For example, although Jeff and Telisa's first experience with Do For One was when they volunteered for last year's Christmas Party, shortly after, they expressed interest in becoming Advocates together.
Scroll down to the pictures of the party for their story.
With gratitude,
Do For One

Telisa, Jeff, Carl, & Jose
Jeff (top right) has a passion for throwing parties centered around good food in Harlem, where he plans to where he plans to be a "lifer."
Carl (bottom left, Partner) lives 2 blocks away from Jeff. Carl's brother from another mother, Jose (bottom right, Partner) also lives in Harlem.
Jose says,
"[Jeff and Telisa] they're cool.
Their house is so beautiful they invited me there.
We never go out to eat at a restaurant because Jeff, he's a chef!
We always have to eat at his house he's the best cook.
Oh my god I enjoy it.
We had a July 4th party it was beautiful.
He sent me back with so much food I ate for a week.
I'll be going to see them for a New Year's Party I can't wait."
